ATM CARD SKIMMING

ATM (DEBIT) Card skimming is a growing problem most often linked to organized crime and is migrating from urban to rural communities. It is very important that you protect your card and PIN.

BE ALERT when processing all ATM or retail purchase transactions. NEVER lose sight of your card and BEWARE of multiple swipes! CHECK the ATM pin pad, look for signs of tampering or anything odd looking about it. Protect your PIN by shielding your PIN entry with your opposite hand at all times and NEVER disclose or share your PIN. Call police immediately if you suspect a problem.

Goderich Community Credit Union has security procedures in place including monitoring unusual activity, however it is also very important that members review their transaction history often for irregularities. In addition, by providing us with your email address, we can notify you of any particular or all of your account transactions.

If you suspect that your ATM (Debit) Card information has been skimmed, call our office or call 1-877-764-3693 after hours to cancel your card immediately.
